How to know which windows 8 version it has in my laptop?

I bought a new laptop with windows 8 pre-installed however I went to my computer properties it shows only windows 8 without any information of which version of windows 8 my laptop has, however windows 7 it does gives al details.

Hi Brink,

I have tried 3 options listed from above from you posted link none of them giving information about which windows 8 version my laptop has.

I mean windows 8 home edition, pro,ultimate,etc

If it only has Windows 8 displayed at the top in System like in the screenshot below, then that's the edition you have.

Could you post a screenshot of this below from your system to see what it says?

From the desktop hit the windows key and r to bring up the run command. Then type in winver. You should find there what you are looking for.

I do agree with townsbg. Using this metho dyou can find out Windows 8 Version.

O.K townsbg,

I took a picture from my pc and about to show you it's not listed which of windows 8. However I don't know how to insert image to this forum.After clicking the image icon in the URL I don't know what to type to insert the image.

In addition to winver, please also look at your System window. You can open System by pressing the Windows + X keys, and clicking on the System.
