Solved How to find lmpgspl.ax

Hi,

I have a problem that everytime when I open a folder with mpeg-file the windows gives an error message about that host process stopped (rundll32) so it seems that I have an error with codec lmpgspl.ax. This problem started when I downloaded the ACE Mega Codecs pack and I have HP lap top. The update from HP website didn´t work.

I have read through the threads about this problem and it seems that the solution is to rename the file, because I wasn´t able to unregister the file. Problem is that I can´t find the file from my computer. I have changed the option from control panel to show all the hidden files, but still my searches are without results. In one post Malke recommended to find the dll-file from system32, but I only find rundll32.exe, but I haven´t had the guts to rename that file because I believe that is the wrong one.

I have already tried all the other solutions that windows and many others have posted on these forums, but really donno what to do.

I would really appreciate your help if you have any answers.

Thanks,

Don´t know why was so stupid to fight for many hours to get the Lmpgspl.ax deleted, because the problem went away just by deleting the ACE Mega Codecs pack :)

I now downloaded the K-lite coded pack and it works fine. Thank you for the help.
