How to check ethernet card?

Hello

I tried to enable Local Area Network but I received an error message that there's something wrong with the broadband modem. I chaged the modem but still have the same error. I guess the problem with the Ethernet card. How can I check it to see if it is working proberly or not?

Welcome
You can check in the device manager.
Type device manger in search to bring it up.
This, although not for Vista, will give and idea on what to expect
Windows - Troubleshooting using the Device Manager
Update the driver.
If the driver or card is corrupted, you wil see a small yellow marker.
If no marker just update.
