How go get path from Win Explorer?

I have Vista Home Premium.

With WinXP, the path to a file appeared in a text box at the top of Windows Explorer.

So it was easy to copy and paste the path (for example, into a DOS console).

Is there an option that allows us to display this path in Vista?

Click once in that horizontal text box which shows the current location [> Computer > DriveLabel ( C: )], and it should change to the current path which you can then copy and paste.

Thanks for that :)

This is also a good tip tip :)

Reason: The contents of the clipboard contain the path + the filename.

Summary:

- If you only need the path, use H2S04's tip:

Click on the address bar to show the path.

- If you need path + filename, use ghost's tip (quoted above)
