how can I get rid of popups while typing

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbe to these forums and I hope this is the right one for my problem.

Everytime I try to type emails or anything else for that matter things keep popping up, form for email, im forms etc. and many times emails get sent before I'm ready.

Don't know what causes this to happen - some sort of speed keys - I don't need this or want it. I just want to type without interference of any kind. How do I deactivate this pain in the %%,%? Things were popping up as I typed this.

Thanks for any help you can give.:):sarc:

what keyboard are you using? does it have any software with it? have you enabled any macro keyboard shortcuts in the past?

have you enabled "sticky keys"? (control panel/ease of access center/make the keyboard easier to use , uncheck sticky keys)

might be a good idea just to do a virus scan and malware/spyware scan too just to eliminate any nasty's ;)

Sure sounds like you got a pesky little varmit... that or what Archie123 posted about "siticky Keys"

If you have MalawareBytes, run it in Safe Mode... make sure you are all updated before running it though. If it finds a couple or few worms, make sure you delete your system restore afterwards and turn it back on so you can create a fresh (read: clean) restore point.

Toolbars are more evil than Saints, at least for me they are... I don't use nor want them on any of my browsers. I honestly believe they will bring more spyware & malaware than help you rid of them.

Now, being said that, I am now 100% sure, well, ok... Almost 100% sure :o :p that you have some bad case of Malaware/Spyware.

If you have not done what I told you in my first post, I don't see how we can further help you.

You may want to run "Spybot Search & Destroy" after running Malawarebytes just to see what else it can find. Remember, they must be run in "SAFE MODE but not before you have update their virus definitions, this way, you know you are running it with all the latest updates.

I would ditch whatever e-mail handler you are using and grab yourself a copy of Thunderbird or something that has a little more security than Outlook Express or Windows Mail. What e-mail handler are you using anyways?

Thanks, I just want to type emails and other things without this thing happening. I have no idea what the cause is. I've tried contacting Windows about this and they charge for assistance and I think that since it's their program they should help me solve this windows vista thing free of charge.

I didn't have this proplem on my old dell laptop, but then it was windows only. If only it were true now. I'll give Netcraft Anti-phishing Toolbar a try, I've tried just about everything else.

Thanks for getting in touch.:)

you're welcome.

My sister's computer was slow. I ran Ad-aware on it, found over 300 data miner cookies. Her computer ran much much better after I deleted them.
