Horizontal Scrolling

Whenever I try to scroll horizontally, it doesn't work. I have it enabled in the settings but I can't seem to be able to do it. Help?

I think the touch pad is Alps Pointing-Device.

Hello XGenius,

I would suggest a clean re-installation of the touch-pad drivers.

• Open Device Manager (Start -- Control Panel -- Device Manager).
• Click the PLUS SIGN to expand Mice and Other Pointing Devices.
• From the drop down menu, select “Uninstall”.
• Ensure to check the box “Delete driver software for this device”.
• Restart the computer.
• Once the drivers are unistalled, re-install the latest drivers for the touch pad.
• Restart the computer and Adjusting horizontal and vertical scrolling.

Please try the steps and check the functionality. Kindly write back for further queries.

The icon in the notification bar indicates that it senses when I tap the horizontal scrolling section. However, when I try to horizontal scroll in Chrome, nothing happens. Same everywhere.

Just asking, is it possible for me to enable two finger scrolling?

Did you try what Allan D recommended? You should get the driver from the Hp support website.

If you open Control Panel and then Mouse, select your touchpad. The available options should be shown.

Yeah, the horizontal scrolling now works on everything that I'm trying it on except Chrome. Maybe it's just Chrome?

Since you are facing the issue only with Google Chrome, try resetting the browser.
**Note: Before re-installing please back up your bookmarks, passwords and favorites for Google Chrome.

Please try the steps and check if the horizontal scrolling works.
