I think I have been hijacked.
My browser keeps forcing me to a site called "securitytoolshed.net" or "securitytoolsusers.net". It then runs some crazy scan saying I have hundreds of Trojans etc. My various security tools tell me I am okI have installed Hijack this and the following is my log. Can anyone help identifier the Hijacker?

It seems you have a LOT of spyware.
There are others here much better qualified to help you if it is severe. But in the interim, start by resetting your internet explorer. Go to tools menu, internet options, under advanced tab near the bottom. Click reset.
Then download SUPERAntiSpyware.com - Downloading File and run complete scan. You can also get Avast antivirus free scan as well. See if that helps at all. Then run hijackthis again and post.

dreemwarrior - thanks for your guidance.

I downloaded SUPERAntiSpyware and I also loaded a 30 day trial of the full AVG. (I always use the free one and keep it updated). Between the 2 it seems to have done the trick. I am longer hijacked and according to my security systems now have negligible infection and the few that are left are just tracking cookies at low risk. I have watched them slowly decrease over the last few days.
Can I just ask what you would recommend to run interms of anti virus, trojan removal etc software? I have been considering actually buying some for some time but am not sure what the best one is, in terms of Value & effectiveness.

Use avira, definitely the best, but use the free version. process explorer is a good program. startup inspector, hijack this is great for diagnoses, adaware and a bit of know how in the cmd prompt also helps with malware. Here are some URLS

I would recommend to use either Microsoft Security Essentials ( http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ ) or the free Avira. They are both by far better than AVG. Make sure though you completely uninstall AVG - which is a challenge. Maybe Revo can do it. ( http://www.revouninstaller.com/ ). Use the "advanced" option and make sure you clean up all the Registry entries and files that the AVG uninstaller left behind.
