Hidden folders

I have a folder that I want to keep hidden. (It's got, shall we say, sensitive material in it.) I already marked it as hidden. The way I've been accessing it is by typing the folder location in the address bar of the folder explorer. This creates a problem, though, as the folder's location remains in the drop-down recent searches box. Obviously, this makes the folder somewhat less than hidden. Is there any way to just completely stop my computer from logging a recent searches thing, or at least to delete the folder from said box?

IN ie7 click on tools. Click on internet options.
There is an option to delete history. Click on this.
Click on delete all.
Problem solved.

For real sucurity keep the files on a pen drive. (USB Key).

You should also consider encrypting the folder so that even if someone sees the folder they cannot view the contents of it.
