Heroes 4 on Vista x64

Hi

I'm trying to run Heroes of Might and Magic 4 on Vista x64 Ultimate. But it gives me an error somthing like: can't run 32bit app.

I thought WOW64 was able to run all 32bit apps, but I guess not. Or am I doing somthing wrong?

I installed Microsoft Vitual PC and installed WinXP on this. Here I was perfectly able to run Heroes 4, so I think it's odd that the game can't just run in Vista x64.

If anyone know of a workaround or some simple app that lets you run 32bit apps in 64bit environment, please let me know...

Hello Dane,
It looks like nobody has got this to run on x64bit systems, you could try a no cd patch and see if that helps. Post your results and good luck.

I for my part have tried the combinations possible with NOCD and XP compatible.
What happens is, i end up with a bluescreen dumping physical memory or sumthin'. Then the computer reboots by itself, and the last minute or two of changes in windows is forgotten.

Halp! :]

This game will run on Vista x32, but will not run on Vista x64.

I don't think so... We will need a rewrite of heroes4.exe to play the game on 64 bit OS.

FWIW I recently bought Heroes IV complete and wasn't able to run the game till I turned off UAC, as soon as that was disabled no problem on Vista X64, plays great.
