HELP with USB Printer

I did a clean install with VISTA ULTIMATE (same program as-was). I have been trying to figure out all day why the USB laser jet printer will not print. It is supposed to 'see and install a USB printer when switched on', but it won't. Nothing was changed on the hardware hook-up since it worked fine on the previous VISTA O/S.

I know this is got to be a simple fix, but danged if I can figure it out?

Try add printer and see what you can do.

Install drivers as well.

Make sure USB cable lenght is less than 5 meters, otherwise your computer may not "see" the printer

It tells you when you ADD A PRINTER, not to do it if it is USB as it will find itself. I have tried both ways, and it won't work either way.

Notice; I said that it worked GREAT hooked up exactly the same with the original (same) VISTA O/S. Only thing different was clean install of (same) O/S.

Well then its Vista thats the problem... Drivers?
