OK, so I am new to Vista and am slowly getting the hang of it. I have a question about the toolbar though. With previous versions of windows I could fill up the toolbar with open windows and just click on the one I wanted. Now in Vista it will only show me 2 open windows at a time in the tool bar. If I have 3 or more open I have to click on the up or down arrow to find them and then click on them. Is there any way to have more than 2 windows show on the toolbar. This would be for separate applications so the grouping option won't help me here. Thanks.

Think this may be what you are looking for ..
Right click on taskbar select properties and uncheck " Group similar taskbar buttons"
Sorry just re-read your post must be still asleep this is strange at the moment I have 6 windows open all of which show on taskbar could you show screenshot to explain what you get?

I'll try to put it up tonight. But I can only get 2 on there. For example I'll have firefox open and explorer open and then word and excel but only 2 windows will show down there.

This tutorial may be able to help you. If you want this off, then just turn it off in Option One. If you just wanted to change how many tabs before they group, then do Option Two.

I've tried that one, but that would only be for if I had say 3 open firefox windows and it would show them as one open window in the taskbar. From what I have seen so far it doesn't affect multiple applications.
