help with System restore

Nokia phone suite was intalled on PC and didn't run properly
so i chose to restore to a chechpoint previous to installation so as to remove drivers etc for suite also
my system restore has been running for over two hours now and doesn't seem to be doing anything ??
i am left with a bank screen and cursor pointer visable
what can i do ?
pls help

Shady thats a long time. How big is the partition?

am not sure dude about partition size but after 6hrs doing nothing i became close to putting my Vaio in the microwave and cooking the ------------- thing to see what would happen :D
i gave up after trawling through forums all day looking for an explanation and finding nothing that could explain or help me :mad:
i was reduced to powering down by holding down button and ramming the Recovery cd in and BOOTing it up and yeah i said BOOTING IT ;) and started all over again from begining:sa:
so now i am left unsure off what actually went wrong :rolleyes: and I'm reluctant to use system restore again
if i do find anything out i'll post it and if not i'll COOK it
