Help with simple keyboard problem

Hi there, i have a problem that really annoys me/
When i am going to write " , i have to press it two times, and then it comes two " .
It also happens to ^, when i press it one time, nothing comes, when i press two times it comes, but it comes TWO. like that ^^.

Oh Come on, the guy posted something and in 29 minutes he had 3 replies(60 views). im 40 min here and no replies and (2) views.
Is my post invisible to the others because i was banned?

Hello Alex,

In the Keyboard settings in the Control Panel (Classic View), you might check and test the character repeat Speed settings to see if they are off a bit.

The character repeat speed is correct (Centralized,a bit to right)
A, i use international US keyboard configuration.

Well, if trying different repeat rates didn't help, then you might see if uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard driver can help.

It is not a driver problem, since all the times i install this happens

Do you have another keyboard to try and see if it has the same problem.

It is a NOTEBOOK.
And i already tried it with a normal keyboard and the problem still persists.

It is because you are using US International as your keyboard setting. It is designed to have this behaviour

To check / change this, open Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > click on the Keyboards and Language tab. Click on the Change Keyboards button. You should see a list of keyboard formats already installed in the Installed Services section, but you may need to go through the Add button to add the one you want.

You should select the type of keyboard that closest matches where you are, so if in the US install and select the English (United States) - US keyboard, and set this to your default keyboard

Being an Aussie, my keyboard is set to English (Australian) - US, where the last US bit signifies the kind of layout I'm using

BTW, you will get a single quote if you press space after the single quote key
