HElp with my network

ok..
I use a IBM thinkpad X30 Laptop
I recently went from Linux (ubuntu) to Windows Vista Home premium 32-bit

During my ubuntu days i was able to get wifi on this computer.. but as soon as i switched to windows vista. i lost wifi connectivity
.....
the problem is that i cant find my wifi on my computer.. any time i click select a network all it shows me is "Broadband connection PPPOE connection"

I need major help.. I was told that i need to install a network adapter... i dont know which network adapter to install.. i Did the control panel , Device manager ..etc but still nothing worked.. the only way i can get internet on this computer is if i connect my modem into it.......... Please i need Your help.. thank YOu

The network adapter that you need (as you were told) was a wireless network adapter card that fits inside your PC or comes as a USB dongle.

But, no need for that. If you had Wi-Fi earlier, then surely you have a wireless network adapter already installed. The reason you don't have it now, is that Vista isn't detecting it.

The resolution for your problem is completely free. Just go to your PC manufacturer's site, find support for your model and then install the wireless network adapter's drivers. After a reboot, your wireless connectivity will be as good as new.
