Help with CPUz (may be nothing)

Hello, very new here and not sure if anyone can help. This doesn't have to do with overclocking, but the people here seemed to know a lot about this, and I could not find a better place to ask. I have very low FPS using a NVidia 8800 GTX, which has prompted me to try and figure out why. I am guessing CPU or Ram issues. While testing some thing, I came across CPUz. I installed and ran it, and when I validated I got this:

My question is; why is FREQ in red? Is my CPU not clocked correctly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's in Red just to highlight it. Your chip is running at the clockspeed it should be :)

As for the poor performance, have you updated your drivers etc?

Thank you. Was worried it wasn't working correctly.

In answer to your question, I am all updated on drivers. After much combing through google and other places, I have come to realize that my CPU is just too slow to keep up with my expectations of my GPU. I am going to upgrade my CPU tomorrow and see if that fixes the issue. If not, then I will get a new video card and hope for the best.

Thanks again.

No worries mate. Yes, you would be a bit CPU limited for games.

Good luck :)

What is the gpu temp? If your card heats up, it'll lag.

Depending on the card, it could start around 100C. I like using hwmonitor to get all my temps and volts.
