Help please

Hi all
My mate asked me to restore his computer (Compaq Presario C700) to its factory settings.
It is now in Factory Image Recovery and it says 31% and 22 minutes remaining this was now 45 mins ago... i think it has frozen.
Not sure if to leave it running still or turn it off and see what happens??? he doesn't have any back up discs either....any help welcome??

Its probably frozen but you only have two choices. ket it run or force quit. Give it a little more time. does he have the vista dvd?

As far as I know he doesn't have the Vista dvd.
I did read it could take from 4-6 hours in the worst cases...how true this is i dont know!
Im just wondering if I "force quit" what will happen??
will it load up to the desktop or not?
