Jrak. I also have a Acer 19inch monitor(flat panel) running on a ASUS 9800GT Ultimate graphics card.

Your top avalible resolution is 1280x1024. I doubt you ever got it any higher.

Sometimes those intel graphics chips will show higher resolutions available but will not acctually run them.

If your at 1280x1024 your maxed.

Hi Jrak,

As your monitor has a native resolution of 1440 x 900 and the chipset shows a max of 1920 x 1200 you should be able to achieve this

acer store - Product Detail

All I can suggest is to check that you have the latest drivers for your graphics card installed. To achieve this go to the manufacturers site download the latest drivers and install. You may have to un-install the existing drivers first

The Acer AL1916W has a native resolution of 1440x900 because it's the widescreen version.

Jrak, have you tried updating your video drivers?

Also you could try Powerstrip
