Hey everyone, I know I've not had my current system long, but I've got the addiction. and I MUST upgrade whenever I feel I can. hahaha. It's addicting. I swear.
Basically I have moved up to the Big brother of the case I've LOVED.. the Cooler Master CM 690 case. It's a great case, I painted it black, cut a side window. it was my first custom case.. But I'm now getting the 690's older UGLY brother. it's ugly, but it's all about performance, not looks.
The Cooler Master HAF 932 Case.. it's sweet.
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER HAF 932 RC-932-KKN1-GP Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases
It has some of the BEST aircooling of any case to date, in it's price range of course. (Can't beat the $350 Silverstone/Lain Li's).
It's better than the Antec 900, and the 900 v2. and it's as close or better than the Antec 1200. It's got some great Airflow. and the thing that makes me get it. Is it's Built for WATERCOOLING.
Yes, I said it, what I always said was just to extreme 4 me. Water-Cooling a PC. thats just crazy. But I've got all my parts. and I will be Water-cooling my Quad Core system next week. I can't afford to water cool my GTX 260's yet, as thats very costly. but I'll be running a good loop and overclocking my Quad to around 4.3 Ghz for 24/7 Running.
I'm not sure what I'm doing with the CM 690 yet, so please don't ask if I'll sell it. If I do, I'll let you guys know.
If anyone knows much about Water-cooling. I'll give ya my parts list just so you know what I'm getting into.
The Swiftech Apogee GTZ CPU Block.
ThermoChill PA120.2 Radiator
Swiftech MCP-655 /D5 Pump. with speed control
the Swifty Micro Res v2
I'm using Danger Den "Fatboy" 1/2 High Flow Barbs, and will be running 7/16 MasterKleer tubing with some UV reactive G11 Blue Cooling. It will look Sweet.. light blue liquid, and dark blue under UV. I will be throwing 4 Yate Loon Medium Speed 70 CFM fans on the RAD in a push/pull config. and then some hose clamps of course.
this will all be going inside my new HAF case, as it has the room to mount a Huge RAD up top. and still have room for more to spare. It's also got a Filport on top for me to easy add Distilled Water to the Loop. along with the case having 3 230mm fans that push 110CFM of Air. (Thats a lot, and only with 19dBA of sound, thats even better).
Anyways, sorry this is SOOO long, but I had to share with everyone my New adventure that I'll sure enjoy over the next few weeks. I'll also be painting the new HAF case Satin Black inside also .
So, If anyone has some idea's for a good name for the computer/ worklog. please feel free to share your idea's and thoughts with me.
Thanks!
