Help me appreciate my Antec 1200

Hello All,

Well I got the Antec 1200 tonight and am trying to desperately appreciate it and whilst I do I am lacking in the enthusiastic department, mainly due to my Mum who calls it a monstrosity, she has shattered my feelings and although she appreciates how quiet it is, I cannot now feel anything for it, so I am kind of deflated.......I want to share my love for it with people here who have it, so can anyone help lift my spirits? :(

Not in the best of moods, don't worry Hydes been and done his usual performance earlier, but now I am left feeling terrible

Chris

Well the main thing is that she hates the PC overall, can't stand it, and why? no idea, just not her thing, she's reached the age where I guess she is just dis-interested in anything "computers"

I adore it and when it arrived and the guy switched it on, he said "Blackpool Illuminations!!" and he was'nt/isn't far wrong, with the lights out in the room its just awesome, and he said that come the summer I will have no concerns

No offence taken at all, you either love it or hate it I guess, and my Mum is the latter :( I don't expect her or want her to like it, its just that Hyde comes out when she starts and things get very very nasty, and all out of my mouth, but if people push me, then thats what they get.

I know I should'nt speak about her like that, and Jekyll (me) knows its not right, but the other guy does'nt get it, and so fights break out, verbal that is!!

She keeps saying the height is immense, and I guess to some it will be a shock, but my Mum is tough, no match for Hyde, but for me she's too much to bear and I can't take much more before I crack completely, I get enough thrown at me by other people, I don't want it from her.

Sorry this is meant to be about the Antec and I've let it become a spilling of emotions, sorry everyone, but I just can't handle this anymore, makes me want to

Never mind

Chris

I would'nt part with this case period, its here to stay and if I could take it with me when I croak it then I would.

I bought it primarily because of heat problems I get in the Summer, thats when and if it gets to 25+ centigrade

I love the lights yes, but I love it more for the silence it now has and as mentioned the cooling

Would'nt swap it for anything

All the little niggles I found with the old case, ie little ticking sounds and the like are all gone, so that makes me think the old case must have had a dodgy fan somewhere, but this Antec is almost silent

MrNeeds,

I noticed yours only has two front fans? mine has three so mine is taller probably, I guess you chose to have just two at the front? :)

Oh gotcha :D

I doubt I would put more fans in, as Bruce2 said in another thread, too many can generate more heat, so for me the 6 that I have are more than enough, plus they are bigger than the ones that were in the CM case :D

Just can't believe the virtual silence, this beast has, only my graphics card when starting up makes a slight woosh noise, but you can't even call it a noise, fantastic, could'nt be more happy with it if I tried :D

Chris ;)
