Solved Help Folder Icons

hi,

The folder icons on my windows vista have all turned to recycle bin icons for some reason!
I cant do a system restore as the problem has been on the system for a while now.
I googled the problem but didnt find a solution.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Nothing that I have much faith in. That was supposed to work. . First I try method one in that tutorial while in safe mode( info. if needed http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/123496-safe-mode.html), just to make sure. After the reboot, if things still mugged up, I'd probably try this http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/66978-system-files-sfc-command.html

Hi,

You could try this:

Rt click the folder>Properties>Customize, then restore defaults, Apply , OK







EDIT: I just remembered, the free Winbubble should be able to restore Icon Defaults for you - saves doing it one at a time:

Yes the WinBubble app truly works and it solved my problem with the icons.
