Hi and thank you for looking into my post :)

About November of last year, I bought Vista Ultimate (came with the 32/64bit disks) due needing something to play games and and thinking that vista would last me.

Rant:
The problem is, not only am I very unsatisfied on the many problems and FORMATS :( due to bad updates, etc.
When it works, it works great, but the price of "the full suite" compared to the basic was really nothing at all. I did not get any word process/office type programs, I only got things that seem more fluff then useful. Most of the things that vista suppose to come with-i found better via open source i.e. OpenOffice, anti virus stuff, etc.

Problem:
My CD's are cracked physically, so how do I get them replaced?

Also, I've seen that some people can get free updates to win7. Would I be eligible for that free update?

Sorry for the odd format of the post, trying to do 13things at one time.

thanks again and have a Blessful DAY!

Hi and welcome to vistaX64

You can get replacement disks from microsoft for under 10$ US. they also probably have a download site for replacements. the free upgrade I assume you are refering to ist the vista to win 7, and it is only for ppl who bought a pc after a specific date.

You would be eligible for a reduced price upgrade. If you were a student there is a discount for them, and if you had a technet subscription you could get it for free. Many ppl are getting technet because they have more than one computer technet is less than buying 3 copies.

Hope this answers some of your questions

let us know if you need help.
