Morning all, I have a Dell inspiron 1545 running Vista Home Premium SP1. I believe I have encountered the dreaded Blue screen of death. When I was clearing out my daughters laptop of junk and adverts on every click, I encountered a problem.
On start up, the DELL logo appears, then Windows Error Recovery page appears. I click on start Windows normally, then.the page appears with Hard Drive not detected, try reseating. Well I've tried reseating the drive. Starting in safe mode, installing the original Vista disk, been into BIOS to boot from CD first. Does this mean my HDD is a paper weight as from now.
Any help would be much appreciated, even where to get a new HDD
