HD tv Tuner

I have a standard tuner in my pc, but was wanting to know if there was any way of using my stand alone hd digital tuner and passing that signal through media centre so that I can rid myself of a remote and record hd tv, I have tried tuning my media centre live tv with the hd tuner passed through, but it cannot find any signal, is it possible? if so, what am i missing?

You need to run the signal through your HD DVD tuner, and then go into settings and set your tuner up from scratch - and when asked if your signal goes through a set top box this time say yes.
