Help!!!!!!!!

When I'm working on a white screen, i.e. google home page, the white screen isn't white it's got a green hue to it. I'm sure it's a Vista setting somewhere because I've tried the monitor on another PC and it's OK. I've also tried various setting changes in control panel all to no avail.
Any suggestions?

Does this "green hue" effect happen only with google, or do all windows with lots of white show up that way?

if it happens with everything, then I'd suggest testing the monitor on a different computer. This you have already done.

The next step would be to try a known working monitor ON THE COMPUTER that is exhibiting the colour problem. If the problem persists with a known working monitor, then you either have a bad connection between the monitor and the graphics card, or the is some obscure driver settings that need to be changed.

Are you running nVidia or ATI graphics? In either case, open the advanced driver settings for you graphics card (these pages will probably be tagged with an nVidia or ATI icon). Check all settings VERY CAREFULLY.

I've seen some nVidia driver settings that can cause this type of weird color displays...

Also, I had a problem like this once, except it was in windows photoviewer, and ONLY in windows photoviewer. The solution for me was to actually download and install the proper monitor profile. Usually vista installs a generic monitor profile, unless it can recognise your exact monitor. Usually it doesn't recognise your monitor though.

So, visit the website of the maker of your monitor, and see if they have a windows profile available for your monitor. (make sure it is the exact profile for your monitor, so check the exact model of your monitor).

Install this profile by rightclicking on your desktop, go to the last entry on that page (sorry if my translation isn't exact, I'm translating from Dutch on the fly), which should be something like monitor settings or screen settings or something.
Click advanced settings.
Go to the monitor or screen tab (again, translation might be off), then go to the second tab (which has to do with the drivers, and click on the second available button, which should be something like change driver or update driver. Point it to the .inf file you have downloaded (what you downloaded might be in a zip file, so you will need to unzip that first).

Once you have updated, you might need to restart the computer for it to take effect properly.

Also, another option might be an improper setting in colour management. You can find colourmanagement (or color management in the US version) in the same part where I said to click advanced settings. Instead of there clicking on the monitor part, you click on the tab for colour management. in there, again click on colour management.
It should give you a list of the available colour profiles in your system. Check them. For me there are two, the standard sRGB IEC61966-2.1, which is set as standard, and one for my samsung monitor.
I disabled my samsung colour profile because IT was giving me the colour problems. So, I reset the standard to the sRGB one. Check to see what your profile is, and check to see if resetting it to the sRGB one will fix your problem.

Also, try updating your graphics card drivers.
Also, if you have overclocked your graphics card, try undoing the overclock and see if you still have that problem. This goes for a system overclock as well.... just to see if that's the problem.
