From what I can see it looks to be a crippled 7300 (which is pretty much any of them other than the 7300GT); as in something like a 7300SE with TurboCache . That being said,

GeForce Release 178

latest Vista drivers for it. One thing is that they may not install if the card's DevID isn't in the INF. If they install, great; if not post back and I can walk you through adding the DevID to the INF (assuming it can be found).

Yea, seems to be a 7300 (looking at the "73") with 256MB RAM, which will include TurboCache.

NO luck so far the computer is not finding any hardware is device manager, neither will Nvidia website, just my onboard card that it finds, when I plug my screen into the 7300 it doesnt work at all, i have tried on other computers too, so dont think its the PCI-E slot.

Any Suggestions are brillaint. Thanks, Ben :D

You don't need the drivers to access the bios. If you tried the card on other computers and still nothing, then it is very probable that the card is dead (no real great loss as a lot of the new Nvidia and ATI onboard solutions are faster than that card).

If you really want to go with a video card instead of onboard, gives us a budget to work with and what you plan on using the card for and we can make some recommendations for a new card.

yes i am pretty much thinking the same thing, just throw it away, well i dont play that many games on the PC, as got a ps3 for that, just general internet, media files, etc, would be nice to have higher res than 1024x768 or whatever it is, but also would like something that is going to last, something like a 8600gt maybe.

any pointers, greatly recieved, thanks, ben:D

the bios solution wont go a miss though, ^^^just read in that quote, you have detected the onboard graphics, and tried to plug your monitor into the graphics card? have you disabled the onboard graphics card in the bios? this can contribute to why the card isnt being detected, if you have a spare card(not the 7300) you can test the motherboards PCI-E port again with, just to see if that one is detected, i suspect that could be the issue.
