Now I know this has been posted before,but i still haven't seen a definite answer.

How can I View Gifs in photo gallery in vista , just like in XP . There must be some sort of hack or something to do it.

I know that you can use Internet explorer or mozilla or some other program, but my point is I want to have less programs on my computer not more. Photo gallery is just so easy to use and very convenient for doing things like cropping etc.

I have also noticed that photo gallery can also play videos as well, but not Gifs.:eek::eek:

You cant view gifs as a slideshow???????

Or what exactly are you asking? Oh wait... I think I know what you mean. I have not needed the feature myself so I never noticed...

Hello Fastboy42,

By default .gif files are opened by Internet Explorer, but you can go into Default Programs , select Windows Photo Gallery, then manually (step 6) check the .gif file option to have Windows Photo Gallery open with it instead of IE.

Yeah, you will need to use Internet Explorer or some 3rd party program like the one Dinesh suggested to view the gif file animated instead.
