Getting drivers after reformat

I reformatted my computer and reinstalled vista but I can't get on the internet or anything to download drivers and updates. I made a backup of my computer on an external hardrive and I thought I might be able to pull the drivers from there but system restore says there is no restore point on the hardrive. Any suggestions to get my Internet working again?

Do you use cable? Go to network icon in notification area,right click,Network and sharing,
On right side view status, Properties, tcp/ipv4 fill in the numbers your ISP gave you
