Hey everyone...
I've had a long and difficult battle with vista and this computer.
Here are my previous posts so you can get some background info without me retyping everything. Please try to help me, I'm going insane here...

Hey everyone!
Long story so I'll try to be brief with lots of info lol.
I have 2 computers. One is custom made by a friend, dual core processors (AMD) at 2.0ghz each, 4gb of RAM, basic video card g-force but not sure how high quality (I know it's worse than my other computer) and has 3 dvd drives. The other computer is a dell computer: dual core (intel) at 1.80ghz, about 2gb of RAM, and a great video card (intel), 1 dvd drive.
Now, the dell computer had been always faster at everything. I finally realized it was due to the video card not being able to support all the graphics of vista on custom computer so I went in and edited the advanced display/visual function properties or whatever it's called where you can select to display or not display certain visual operations like that transparency look, showing contents of a window while you're moving it, shading behind the mouse pointer, etc. I disabled most of them and suddenly the computer started working faster. Yay for me! Before I figured this out, the computer was constantly crashing. I thought fixing those settings would help, but it didn't, not really. So I ended up uninstalling everything that was recently installed and then re-installing only the programs I needed. This seemed to do the trick since it's been 2 days and it hasn't crashed (used to crash/freeze at least once or twice a day).
But my problem now is that the internet on custom computer is suddenly....really....r e a l l y..... S L O W!
The dell computer is still fast as hell. I have rogers (we're in canada)... not sure what the level is called but it's the 60GB bandwidth one.
So.... anybody know why the internet could be slow?
No viruses (scanned twice with ESET NOD32).
Any ideas??

So I ended up using a command prompt to fix the internet. That worked and it was fine for a full day (and I posted on it and someone marked it as solved) but unfortunately, the computer just crashed again today. It stops working and goes to a blue screen that says it's preparing for a crash dump. This is what used to happen before when it would crash.
Any help?

It seems I have had my other issues fixed (damn last time I said this, I jinxed it and my computer "crash dumped" again). I used to have it crash all the time, which I thought I fixed by reinstalling and uninstalling a bunch of programs. Then the internet ran slow and I did a bunch of things (defragment hard drive, ran ccleaner for temp files and did some registry cleanup, tried the whole editing options of my connection and maybe more but I can't remember) and the only thing that worked was using command prompt to restore original settings to the internet connection.
I thought all was well until I said all was well and then the computer crash dumped again. I found out it was a compatibility issue with vista and the nvidia chipset + more than 2GB of RAM (I have 4GB). The fix was a download of the updates, which seems to have fixed it but I knock on wood.
So now... I'm trying to view photos with windows photo gallery and when I double click on a thumbnail, or right click and "view with windows photo gallery", a black screen shows up where the picture should be. I see the list of editing options, but the photo screen is black.
Any ideas??
So… my issue now is that the computer keeps freezing. Sometimes it takes a while to freeze, other times it freezes on start up, as soon as the main page loads. Sometimes during the BIOS logo screen. Other times it freezes with a black screen when I try to restart. I have to cut off power to the computer and then restart and sometimes that doesn’t even work. Sometimes, the computer will run fine for a few hours and suddenly, words will start disappearing, programs will start disappearing (either names, icons or the entire program and it will say that the program does not exist and do I want to remove it from the list/desktop). When I restart, the program is there, but the computer keeps freezing.
Can somebody PLEASE help me? I’m going insane and this is a computer I need to make a living with
