Freeze when transferring files

Transfer freezed when tranferring files from mobile from through USB.
Transfers up to 25 pictures then freezes.

Any input/help would be appreciated!

I have found this and it seems to apply.
I have never had the problem myself or helped others with this problem.
I do not know the effects of the suggestion that is made.
I would start with a system restore point, before making the changes

Have enough space to transfer to?

Try with a clean boot

When it happens go to search, type event viewer and look for errors in the administrative tab.

Overheating?

I did the clean boot but no changes.
I have done step one and restarted it. Do I continue to step two to undo the changees I made in step one?
There is enough space.
As for the event viewer:

Summary of Administrative events:
Errors : 5 in the last hour 24 in the last 24 hours

If you unticked the startup items and there is no change, just put it back the way it was. Clean boot will not work

You have to tie in the time of the problem with the time on the event viewer. You may have to wait until it happens again.
