Iv been Beta testing Firefox 3 for some months now and i can say that the improvement are awesome and cant say iv come across any bugs at all

Got to agree with everyone so far, Firefox 3 is INCREDIBLE.

Firefox 2 was always, imo, superior to IE - however it had a few flaws, mainly it's memory hungry appetite, but that's been addressed and more in the new release.

I've had it since Beta 2 up until RC3[mac]/RC2[windows, linux] and it's never once let me down. And obviously i don't need to sell the whole addon thing, but adblock plus ftw!!

It wont get counted unless you download it from the official site, It looks like the final FX3 has been released..hurry get downloading and break this record :D

Is this a bad joke?

Finally got through to the 'World Record' page after several attempts. Press the 'Download Firefox 3' button and it gets through to a page with another 'Firefox 3 - Free Download' button.

BUT......

In the small type below it makes clear that the download is for version 2.0.0.14 which is the same version I've had on my PC for a few months now!

Having just typed that, a reload on the page has just updated it to Version 3.0

However, clicking the link just comes up with an error......

cjs right. It appears Mozilla overestimated the power of it own servers and cannot handle all the requset for the .exe.

They are effectivly down!

How do they expect to make the world record of their servers arent up to the job?

They showed me. Just as I typed that it let go and I DLed FF3 in 10 seconds.

Hope it holds up.

Has anyone seen a x64 version of FF3?

Yeah I had similar problems trying to start the download, just refresh the page every 5 minutes or so and it should start ;)

how will there servers ever hold up over the next few hours? :shock:
