Filemaker Pro 9 (Not Responding)

Installed FileMaker Pro v9 trial version on my Windows Vista Premium Laptop. Install went well but when I launched the program and pointed to any menu item I was greeted with "Filemaker Pro (not responding)". Uninstalled and Reinstalled FMP 9 several times. Filemaker support wasn't able to get it working either. I installed the trial version on another Windows XP machine without issue. Is anyone aware of any program conflicts?

Used your suggestions. Found the Filemaker Pro folder and removed Read Only. The files in the folder are not Read Only but the Filemaker Pro Folder reset to read only. It also appears that Vista Administrator accounts have ownership.

I uninstalled the program using windows installer but found an additional folder named Filemaker Pro 9 that was not removed during the uninstall process. Don't know what to make of that. Unfortunately my problem still isn't solved.
