This is my first computer with Vista (Home premium - 32). Expecting better performance than my old XP I was sadly dissapointed with my IE experience with Vista. Although all resident programs on my computer work very well, IE is another matter entirely. Whenever I first open IE, I am presented with a blank IE screen sitting there happily waiting for the various images and windows componants to appear. Nothing happens until I click the mouse in the empty address field then the rest of the screen starts to load sometimes taking a minute or so to readiness for web searching. From then, each search or direct typed web address can take up to a minute to resolve. At times, pop-up logon screens do not even appear which is a veritable pain if you are using secure financial institution systems. If anyone can assist, I would be extremely grateful. I am not fluent in computer jargonese and probably need advice in rather simplistic terms.
Many thanks in anticipation.........
