Solved Explorer

Hello all, first timer here.
When I use Win explorer in Vista Ultimate, and click on a folder in the left
pane, it opens the folder full screen and wont show me the left pane anymore
so I can't drag&drop from the open folder to another folder.
What am I doing wrong?
Also, the back button only goes back to desktop.ini

Hello avstorm,

Welcome to the forums.

Haven't heard of this before. Has it always done this, or is this a new development? Can you click on Organize/layout/navigation pane to get it back. If you do that and get it back, then close and reopen explorer, does it still happen.

From day one. It's vista Ultimate 32 bit. I tried that form another post, but when I click on the navigation icon, it just goes back to desktop.ini
all I want is a separate pwane that I can drag & drop from int the left pane.

Figured it out! Under "Organize" , I unchecked menu bar and now it works fine.
Didn't see what menu bar does. but apparently I don't need it.
Thanks for trying.

Glad you got it figured out. If you ever need the menu bar, you can tab the Alt key and it will appear for one use.
