Appication failed to initialise?
I believe the problem occurs when Windows Defender is updated. I have got instructions from microsoft support website which tells me to unistall defender then reinstall. I click start and run "appwiz.cpl" click ok. The instructions then tell em to click Windows Defender and remove, but I cannot find it. Can anyone help please?

The link for W. Defender is in the top portion of the All Programs part of Start
Menu,if that's what they mean.

'The application failed to initialize' usually this error will come as the user has no write permission at the programs folder.

For which program you get this message? TRy to give full permisssion for this program's folder inside program files.
Say if you are getting this error message for autocad, you have to set full permission for autocad folder inside programs folder.
