Hi, I've had one of these units for a few months, up until very recently, it had run fine. I had to pinch the USB and power cables off it to work on a mate's machine and when I reconnected it threw a couple of problems with the scanner so I unistalled and attempted to reinstall the web drivers but now it claims it can't find a valid driver for the system, I've tried the automatic installation, unpacking and manual installation, if I choose the DX7400 installation it will go ahead but then not be able to access the machine, understandably, the only difference I can see is the DX8400 ones aren't digitally signed but that's never caused a problem before. I've spoken to Epson and they are convinced it's a Vista issue, I think there were updates downloaded in between disconnecting and reconnecting could that have made a change? It will read from the card slot and does run independantly as a copier etc.
I'm desperate to get it sorted as I use it for work a lot.
TIA for any help
