Email attachment problem

Hi am new to windows vista business. apologies for my question. I could not access an attachment sent with email..it says this file does not have a programme associated with it for performing this action - create an association in the set control panel...???

What type of file is it?

If you save the file to the desktop first, are you then able to open it?

If you don't know what it is ....Just right click the file ...Properties ...

You should see something like this ...:

Post back ..what it is ....we try to help you to find program to open it ...
