Hi, I've got PGA Tour 2007 and NFSMW both been working fine in the past, but now after a random amount of time, they lock the whole system, not even a BSOD just hang completely. Bioshock and Crysis are fine so don't think it's a hardware problem, any suggestions?

The only thing I can think of at the moment is try uninstalling and reinstall it again to see if that makes a difference. Have you got any registry cleaners installed, if so maybe it has deleted some entries that it thought you didn't need, that can happen sometimes, the only reg cleaners I use are CCleaner and Auslogics Boostspeed, have no issues with them yet.

I use CCleaner too, haven't heard of the other one but be willing to give irt a go if it's recommended, I'll try the re-install on both, main thing I'm trying to avoid is a complete re-install, succumbed to that too often in the past.

Ok, think I've managed to answer that one, the case had a large side fan that failed just out of guarantee so taken the side off and training a 12" fan on the memory and GFX card seems to have cleared it up
