DVD-RW drive?

I have an Acer 7520-5185 laptop, its about 6 months old. The first few months I've had it, I've gotten a lot of blue screens, but, that has stopped. Now recently, my DVD-RW drive doesn't work at all? It says its working fine, but it won't read any disc. Last night as well, my power light, battery light, and the ring around the power button started flashing? It said my laptop was not plugged in, so I unplugged in, and plugged it back in, and it stopped?
