dvd drive problem

im having problem fixing my dvd drive on vista it can detect the cd i put in but when i try opening it my folder is frozen and it wont open the cd i wait a long time and nothing pops up anyone know how i can fix it?

when i did a scan i got this issue that was not fixed

media in cd/dvd is not readable (TSSTcorp Dvd + Rw TS-L632H ATA Device)

the drive is empty or the media format is not supported

Can you right click on the dvd and go to properties,at the bottom it sometimes says something about it coming from another computer and do you want to unblock it.
Click unblock,
If that fails go to properties,security,and give yourself permission
Or you could Take Ownership of the disc.
