DVB S2 (TBS8920) Not detected

Hi, I just got a DVB S2 tuner and installed it and it appears to be installed correctly.
After considerable tweaking of the software it came with (dvb Dream) I tried it with Media center and it does'nt even appear to be detected as a valid source, getting the message 'no tuner is detected'.
After a bit of looking baout I discovered there is a media center pack which I found and downloaded.
When I go to install it, it says it is incompatible with my system !!!
This is nuts !
I've tried everything and I'm getting no-where fast !
I'm runnning vista home premium 32bit on an asus m2a vm hdmi with an hd4870.
Any ideas anyone ?
Plz !!!!???!!!

Hello Nelmac and welcome to the forums

Can you post a link to the media centre pack that you downloaded?

'Can you post a link to the media centre pack that you downloaded?'

Hi Tom, Unfortunately I deleted them !
One was a media pack update 2008
The other was dated 2010.
I have another machine with xp 64bit and the installation went smoothly on that though.
I now have a situation whereby, the other machine is an old machine and doesn't have a very good graphics card installed is not HD compatible !
So, I've now got an HD tuner in a non HD machine !

I downloaded the pack from the microsoft website and it was marked as being compatible with VISTA, however, as I said, when I went to install it, I got the message saying 'incompatible with my system' !!!
Quite strange !

Well, I've got it working with DVB DREAM but media center still can't recognise it !
Annoyingly, I removed my M-AUDIO 2496 to make room for the DVB card because the m2a vm hdmi has only 1 pci slot, (being a micro ATX board).
Using an external soundblaster, (sb0490), when DVB DREAM is running flashplayer has lost its AUDIO ! :(
The quest continues !!!!
