Dual Boot

i installed vista and XP on my system to have dual boot but the Xp was not booting as the ntldr boot loader will not be found. i then deleted the XP from the partition i put it in but even after deleting it, anytime i boot my system the XP and Vista all will appear as boot options though the Vista is the default. now i want to remove the XP completely from the system and not to appear as a boot option. what can i do to achieve this.

the problem here is the XP bootloader Overwrites Vista's, and the other issue is removing the XP Boot option in the msconfig, and if neccessary, marking the Vista volume as "active"-Dual booting XP install on a Vista Machine requires the Vista boot (startup) to be repaired. To remove the XP boot option, etc., see the thread above post #2
