Hi there. I'm using Vista Home Premium.
In Device Manager under 'Sound, video and game controllers' the first item listed is "DrmCAudio". It has the little warning sign on it. The next item is the RealTek Hi Def audio controller.
Anyway, investigating the warning associated with the DrmCAudio controller I checked the Driver Details under Properties and Windows says "No drivers are required or have been loaded for this device". When I disable it there's no effect to the system. I attempted to Update and Windows says "Windows could not find driver software for your device. If you know the manufacturer..........."
All elements of my sound system work fine and just want to know what this 'controller' is and can I just uninstall it.
Thanks in advance.
