Drivers Disappeared

So I rebooted my pc today and all of the sudden my CD/DVD drivers are missing/corrupted. (CODE:39) I can't find the driver to reinstall it either. I checked the Plextor website but they say that vista supports it so now im looking for the vista driver.

Can anyone help me out? ive seen a lot of people having this issue but i really havnt seen any resolutions


System Specs:
Intel QX6700 2.66ghz
4GB Corsair Dominator Ram
Plextor PX-800A CD/DVD
NVidia 8800GTX SLI
BFG Physics Accelerator
X3 1000w PSU
4x 500GB Seagate 7200rmp HDDs (no raid)

Problem fixed by deleting the driver upper and lower filters with REGEDIT.EXE

Wow. I can't believe it! I made that same exact reg fix for the same exact problem on a Win2k machine 3 years ago!! SIGH It was a SCSI CD Burner though
