Driver_IRQL_Less_Or_Not_Equal

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium on an Acer laptop and I'm getting the System Blue Screen of Death with the Driver_IRQL_Less_Or_Not_Equal error on startup. It looks as though it's going to boot up then I get the crash with some strange ringing sound (I guess it's supposed to get my attn but I'm already paying attn!)

This has happened 2-3 times today so I'm attaching both C:\Windows\Minidump\minidumps to this post. I don't have a clue as to how to read these dumps so any help/advice is greatly appreciated...

Have you zipped up the files - only certain file extensions (like .zip) are allowed
