Driver Updater's and Registry Cleaner's

I just purchased a Driver Updater Program- Carambis
I also purchased a registry cleaner-UniBlue

I have a Vista Home Premium 32 bit Hp Pavilion a6434f PC. I was wondering if they can do more harm than good? Is there a better way of deleting tracks of old path files or downloads that I no longer have. Driver updates I'm kind of iffy about so just thought I would get some input. I appreciate your time. thank you

I use Wise Registry Cleaner. I'm not familiar with UniBlue, but that does not mean anything negative about your software utility.

I am not a big fan of driver update programs. I prefer to find and install updates on my own. If Carambis will just notify you of updates, and allow you to download them from vendor sites, this would not be bad.

Odd you bought the programs before asking for opininons. LOL.

Take care with registry cleaners - you can do more harm than good.

I use Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download

It works fine on x64 systems - tho. it will only uninstall x86 programs - that's pretty much all of them.


This is a free all in one utility that works well.

Glary Utilities

(Watch during install and untick toolbar - assuming you don't want that bit - or get the no toolbar version - the same applies to Ccleaner already mentioned)

It does have a registry clean module - less hazardous than most if you feel you Must use one - tho you may be better off not. The other modules work very well for me.
