So I soldered a USB connector onto an Xbox (origional) controller I purchased. I canuse it on my PC using XBCD drivers which are not signed. These drivers were created by someone who didn't want to run out and buy the new X-box360 controller when they arleady had something useable. So I can get the controller to work my Using the F8 option every single time I boot vista.
If anyone knows a way to get around driver signing via registry edit or whatever please let me know. I doubt these drivers will ever be signed as the person who created them did not want to pay M$ since they are not making any profit on this. Besides I'm sure M$ would not approve them anyways because they want me to go run out and buy a new "Vista compatable" joystick when the only thing preventing the one I have from working is driver signing. (Actualy it works fine if I boot with F8.)
Is there any way to always boot vista with F8 options every time aside from using some kind of automated button pushing machine?
It's rather inconvienent to have to reboot every time I want to plug in my controller....
I'm not going to go back to the 32 bit version as then I have other problems like my machine not being able to use all 4GB of Ram. If anything I would switch to Linux.
But I'm starting to think my next computer may be a MAC if MS is going to keep this garbage up. I see absolutly no reason to disable our options to remove driver signing permanently but rather make us Wait and Press F8 every time our computers start up?
