Do I need to do anything special after V 64 is installed?

I have found all the 64 bit drivers that I need for all my components and all 64 bit software and have it ready when I install V64 on my new build. Is there anything special that I am going to need to do during install or after install that isn't in the norm when it comes to installation???

The only thing to be aware of is that on a few systems Vista x64 will not install with 4 or more gig of ram ;)

z3r010,
If Vista will not install on a PC with more than 4 gig of ram is it possible to install with 3 gig of ram then add the ram after the install and it all should work? Thank You

Well, I have 4gb of ram. Maybe I should install only 2gb just to make sure. Also, why is this happening?

Most boards are fine, just load it up with all the ram in and if you run into any problems just knock it down to 2gig.

As for why it does it, its just a bug :sarc:

My Computer

the patch is already on the sp1 beta if any of u guys are trying it...also you can lower the RAM bus speeds and the setup should work just fine...this way you dont have to open your computer up and remove and reinstall the ram

hope this helps
