Disk Cleanup Starts and Immediately Closes

I have searched the forum and have not found anyway to fix my problem. I have Vista Ultimate on x32 and during the installation, i acquired too many "windows.old" folders (windows.old, windows.old.000, windows.old.001....) and they all take up gigabytes of space! I learned that Disk Cleanup can fix this but everytime I clicked the link it opens for less than a second and then closes. I tried shortcuts and the actual file and by using Run. I have also restored some .reg files that were actually missing. Nothing has worked! help!

Hello Julio, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You will need to do a clean install with that many window.old folders. It sounds like your current install is corrupted.
