Disappearing emails in window mail v6

Hi I'm having trouble with my mail. When I leave my inbox, all my read mail disappears into thin air!!! It doesn't go to the deleted items folder, it just vanishes. Any ideas on to fix this or reinstall windows mail?? Thx in advance

Have you gone to View, Current View, and clicked Show All Messages? It may be on Hide Read Messages.
