Disable Type 2 Modem

I want to disable this modem in my notebook permanently, as I never use it.

I disable it in Device Manager, but it seems to come back "enabled", after I have re-booted my computer, or maybe when I do a sfc scannow or chkdsk.

If I do an "uninstall" of the driver software, it still comes back, as the notebook detects the modem hardware.

Disable permanently, as it was pointed out to me by someone in the vista forum that it may be causing a conflict.

If that does not work
Uninstall driver
Then go to Windows Automatic update and set to notify.
When you are notified about the new driver, right click and hide, its done.
